A weekend in the mountains! We don't even need to say how much we LOVE these destination weddings, when we get to travel, meet new people and places. It's a win-win situation: for us and for the couple. The wedding itself ends up being just an excuse for everyone to travel together: you, your closest friends and your family. It lasts more than a day, more than a few hours. It lasts as long as the heart needs to (and it always ends up making everyone wish for more).
We already knew it was meant to be when we exchanged emails for the first time. By the third mail, we were already exchanging pictures of our dogs, them introducing us Lua and we showing our Loki. Obviously when they came at our place they brought her to play with our Lokolino, which obviously didn't work out for her: she was a lady pitbull and he was a non-neutered shih-tzu at the peak of his dog masculinity, with a particular fetish on big dogs. Poor Loki was solemnly ignored. haha
Since then we knew that Helô and André's wedding was not just a party. Bare with us on this: two book lovers (and when we say lovers, we're talking VERY SERIOUSLY) + an Inn at Serra dos Órgãos (and probably that's why it's called PARADISE- Açu) + Beer + Dog + Ping-pong table + natural water pool +….. ok, right? You got the picture :)
We really can't say what was the best feature: if it was the entire decoration made of books, if it was the tables settings with the names of famous characters couples from literature, if it was Lua (their amazing pitbull) running all over the place or if it was that magical and incredible view that gave the impression of being in Narnia! We arrived on the eve before the wedding itself, a very light rain was falling and a chill mountain breeze vied for space with the fog. We were teleported to another world, the AH! world (you will understand when you see the photos).
Helô works in advertising and André is a journalist, they met at work which could only be... a publishing company. :) You know that proud feeling you have when you see you're reading one new book every 2 months? Sooo...what these two can read in 2 months doesn't even get close to what all their guests can read in an entire year! Haha When they decided to live together, their dilemma was not the pressure of moving in together, but the idea of merging two libraries into one! We keep imagining something like The Beauty and the Beast library kinda style!
Okay, without any further ado, come wander with us through Westeros, Rivendell, Narnia and all the magical kingdoms of books.

Um final de semana na Serra! A gente nem precisa dizer o quanto AMA esses casamentos de destino, que viajamos, conhecemos lugares e pessoas novas. É uma win-win situation: pra gente e pro casal. O casamento acaba virando só um pretexto pra todo mundo viajar junto, você, seus amigos mais próximos e sua família. Dura mais que um dia, mais que alguma horinhas. Dura o tempo do coração se aquecer por completo (e acaba sempre dando vontade de quero mais).
A gente já sabia que ia ser sucesso quando trocamos e-mails pela primeira vez. Lá pelo terceiro e-mail já tava rolando troca de foto de cachorro, eles mostrando a Lua e a gente mostrando o nosso Loki. Óbvio que quando vieram aqui em casa trouxeram ela pra brincar com nosso Lokolino, o que obviamente não deu muito certo por ela ser uma pitbull lady e ele um shih-tzu não castrado no auge de sua loucura por cachorros grandes. Tadinho do nosso filhote, foi solenemente ignorado. rs
Daí que desde então a gente já sabia que o casamento da Helô e do André não era uma simples festa. Vamo lá, junta aí os ingredientes no caldeirão: dois amantes de livros (e quando a gente diz amantes, a gente ta falando MUITO SÉRIO) + uma pousada aos pés da Serra dos Órgãos (e daí não é à toa que se chama PARAÍSO-Açu) + Cerveja + Cachorro + Mesa de ping-pong + piscina de água natural +….. ta bom, né? Pode parar ou ces querem mais? :)
A gente realmente não sabe dizer o que foi mais lindo: se era a decoração TODA feita com livros, se eram as mesas com nomes de casais de personagens famosos da literatura, se era a Lua (a pitbull maravilinda deles) transitando pra lá e pra ca ou se era aquela vista mágica e incrível que dava a impressão de estar em Nárnia! Chegamos lá na véspera do casamento, caía uma chuva bem fina e um leve frio de montanha disputava espaço com a neblina. Fomos teletransportados para outro mundo, o mundo AH! (vocês vão entender quando virem as fotos).
A Helô é publicitária e o André jornalista e se conheceram no trabalho que, obviamente, só poderia ser uma editora. Sabe aquele orgulho que você tem de ler um livro a cada 2 meses? Então, pega sua trouxinha da humildade, porque o que esses dois leem em 2 meses não dá junto o que todos os convidados daquele casamento leram no ano! rs Quando eles decidiram morar junto, o dilema não foi juntar as escovas, mas sim juntar as bibliotecas! Deve ser algo estilo A Bela e a Fera! rs
